Shops and restaurants can be found in the little town of Posada, ~
3000m away, and 'La Rocca', one of the most famous restaurants in
the area, is situated in the cobbled streets just below the castle.
The castle itself is worth a visit and if you have the nerves to climb
on top of the tower, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic
views of the mountains, the plain with the river meeting the sea,
the green pine forests and the magnificent sandy bay.

Posada and San Giovanni:
Approx. 20 km South of San Teodoro, we enter another vast beach area,
not less attractive than the bays of Budoni and San Teodoro, but larger,
with several seaside towns and villages such as Posada, with San Giovanni,
the fishing harbour of La Caletta, and Santa Lucia at the Southern
end of the bay. All of them located on a fertile plain with a river
which attracts flamingoes and herons, and with the Posada rock and
the old castle right in the centre of the plain; inland the bustling
town of Siniscola, and behind the mighty Monte Albo mountains. Posada
and San Giovanni as well as La Caletta are excellent areas for surfing,
sunlovers, children and and really everyone else. La Caletta, with
its Yachting and fishing harbour is worth a visit; it has more shops,
(fish) restaurants, bars, entertainment and night life.
