San Giovanni:
Approx. 20 km South of San Teodoro, we enter another vast beach area, not less attractive than the bays of Budoni and San Teodoro, but larger, with several beach villages such as Posada, with San Giovanni, the fishing harbour of La Caletta, and Santa Lucia at the Southern end of the beach. All of them located on a fertile plain with a river which attracts flamingoes and herons, and with the Posada rock and the old castle right in the centre of the plain; inland the little town of Siniscola, and behind the mighty Monte Albo mountains.
San Giovanni, though being an excellent area for surfing, hasn not as yet been fully been discovered by surfers and most people choose San Giovanni simply for the many other advantages, that make this place so ideal for a great holiday.
Firstly its location in the little pine forest right on the beach, where many locals have built their holiday homes, creating a colourful place of Mediterranean charm, then the beach itself, perfect for sunlovers, children, surfers, and really everyone else.
Last but not least all of the properties in San Giovanni are in walking distance to shops (in San Giovanni itself only during the summer months), restaurants and the beach and to neighbouring La Caletta, with its Yachting and fishing harbour, with more shops, (fish) restaurants, entertainment and night life.
